Palm Angels released its new basketball-inspired collection on Tuesday and to celebrate, the Los Angeles-based brand is hosting virtual pick-up games inside PlayStation's NBA 2K21 The City. Here, fans can face-off against Palm Angels MVPs — celebrities handpicked by designer Francesco Ragazzi that include rapper Slowthai, tattoo artist Dr. Woo, model Clara Berry and photographer Atiba Jefferson. Palm Angels gifted Slowthai with a coveted PlayStation 5 just in time for the occasion
Slowthai, if you'll remember, was on Aminé's "Limbo" album and is carrying the torch of the gritty London sound that Pop Smoke was helping popularize here in America. The late Brooklyn rapper was also a fan of Palm Angels.
For this Palm Angels NBA 2K21 collection, Ragazzi selected vibrant colors like pink, blue, green and yellow to reflect team spirit and a stripe pattern to pay homage to referees. The collection includes hoodies, polos and jerseys with broken text and the brand's signature tracksuits.
The collection is available on the Palm Angels website or in-store at the company's flagships in China and Hong Kong and The Webster in Miami. Prices range from $320 for a T-shirt to $935 for a collared shirt. Items are also available digitally in NBA 2K21 at Swag's. See the schedule for the Palm Angels PlayStation pick-up games here.
